Tri Kappa State
Kappa Kappa Kappa, Inc, is an Indiana organization for women, established in
1901. Tri Kappa has a membership of over 10,000 women. Its goal is to
further charity, culture and education.
Charity
Tri Kappa contributes money to the James Whitcomb Riley Hospital for children
and the Ronald McDonald House in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Culture
Tri Kappa supports the Hoosier Salon and gives fine arts scholarships.
We have a large collection of Hoosier paintings on exhibit in Terre Haute,
Indiana.
Education
Tri Kappa awarded its
first scholarship in 1913. We have contributed over $5,000,000 for education.

Tri Kappa Locally
Madison's active chapter, Beta Omega, was installed March 26,
1921 and has approximately 50 members. Two associate chapters, with a total
membership of about 30 members, have been installed since 1949. Our
chapter has special projects in our community to support charity, culture and education.
Charity
We support our projects with
three fundraisers: a Chick Flick movie night, a nut/candy sale, and a biennial tour of
homes.
A portion of our proceeds are given to numerous organizations to benefit the
community. These organizations include:
Girls’ Inc, the Jefferson County Youth Shelter,
Big Brother/Big Sisters, Lide White's Boys and Girls Club, American Cancer
Society, Special Olympics, Turning Point, Habitat for Humanity, Humane Society, O.V.O. Headstart,
Madison Jefferson County Library, Community
Foundation, and Area 12 Council on Aging. In addition, every other month we host
a party at the Madison State Hospital. Each summer we also participate in the
end-of-the-month meal at the Salvation Army.
Culture
Each spring we display local students' art work in downtown storefront
windows for the community to enjoy. In the fall members volunteer to work
at the Madison RibberFest and the
Madison Chautauqua Festival of Art.
Throughout the year we have guest speakers at our meetings educating us on
culture.
Education
Since 1970, it has been possible for
the Beta Omega Chapter to
award approximately $170,000 in academic and vocational scholarships to
graduates of our three local high schools, Madison Consolidated High School,
Shawe Memorial High School and Southwestern Jefferson County High School.
Tri Kappa thanks you for your support as we endeavor to meet our obligations for
all who need our assistance.
